BSC loves their teachers! Great teachers are always looking for new ways to expand their instruction and engage their students. Innovative teaching is important-but it can be expensive which is why BSC has a teacher grant for our local military affiliated teachers. Check out our eligibility requirements & thank you teachers for all you do!

Eligibility Requirements for Teacher Grants

The Barksdale Spouses’ Club Teacher Grants are available to current dependents of all ranks of the U.S. Armed Forces (Active Duty, Reserve, or National Guard currently assigned to BAFB, retiree and/or survivor) and veterans. The BSC will award a grant to eligible teachers who fit the above criteria. Selection of awardees will be made by the BSC Scholarship Committee no later than April 1, 2023. The aim of this project is to aid military spouse teachers in your continued efforts to assist with the unique educational needs of Shreveport/Bossier City children.
